Each year thousands of candidates apply to get admission in Stanford University. The selection procedure emphasizes primarily on academic excellence, exceptional abilities, and personal qualities. For Undergraduate admissions, the University recommends that potential students take a minimum of four year of English, four years of mathematics, three years of laboratory science, three years of same foreign language, and three years of history or social studies. Financial aid is provided to approximately 75 percent of undergraduate students from variety of internal and external sources. The offered undergraduate degrees are: Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Sciences, and Bachelor of Arts and Sciences.
Under the Stanford Graduate Program, there are seven schools pursuing post-baccalaureate degrees. The Exchange programs with the University of California at Berkeley and San Francisco enable the graduate students to take course not offered at Stanford.
